7 Year Evolution of Apple MacBook Pro

Though not as influential as iPad series and iPhone series, Apple MacBook Pro series gained great success in the market in an earlier time. As the successor of iBook and PowerBook, Apple MacBook Pro had gone through a long history. Therefore, this post will focus on seven year evolution of Apple MacBook Pro.

1. On May 16 2006, Apple released the first polycarbonate MacBook Pro. Designed as an entertainment tool for customers, the MacBook Pro was an ideal device for gaming and video watching. Users could enjoy movies with the 13.3-inch widescreen in 1280×800 pixel resolution and enjoy games with Intel Core Duo 1 processor and Intel GMA 950 chipset.

5. On February 24 2011, the new Apple MacBook Pro is featured by 2.40GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 10-hour duration battery and OS X Lion system. It also replaced Intel GMA X3100 with NVIDIA GeForce 320M. However, this Apple MacBook Pro was designed for educational institutions instead of individuals.

6. In June 2012, the latest MacBook Pro was unveiled by Apple on WWDC. With 0.71 inch thin and 4.46 pounds design, 2012 MacBook Pro is powerful in function by equipping 2.3GHz quad-core i7 third-gen CPU, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of flash storage, and Nvidia GeForce GT 650M graphics.   

Also the Retina Display of Apple MacBook Pro 2012 is a technological breakthrough in notebook field. The 2880×1800-pixel, 15.5 inch screen can make movie watching a real visual feast.
